Our Methodology

Our goal is to present the English language to speakers of other languages in a meaningful and easy to understand form, develop students’ communication skills and equip them with confidence for self-study. Our course books follow the Capital Class syllabus and are linked to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) and its can-do statement within the areas or reception, interaction and production.

Within each and every session we teach and give professional advice on:

  • Pronunciation
  • Accent Softening
  • Prosodic (intonation, stress, rhythm)
  • Grammar
  • Vocabulary
  • British Culture

We use Blended Learning and the Communicative Approach which means you will have a course book, as well as access to an online library of resources corresponding to your level and you, will be required to use English to communicate real meaning so as to improve your communicative competence in the four areas:

  • Words and rules
  • Appropriacy
  • Cohesion and coherence
  • Use of communication strategies

Your teachers will also use supplementary materials and modern technology to design and deliver tailor-made lessons to suit your learner style and enable you to become an independent and autonomous user of English.

Your progress will be measured and monitored by means of classroom interaction, quizzes, tests and assignments.
